"Reality Show" first appeared in the west, and became popular with domestic audiences rapidly after it was introduced to China. Then TV stations around the country began trying this program form and set off a upsurge of "reality show" in the domestic. Influenced by the craze, children’s variety show began to add the elements of reality show(such as reality,competition, entertainment and so on) to its’ programs and imitate the shooting skills of adult’s reality show, therefore the children’s reality show was born. Novel forms of program is not only popular with the children, also attracted a large number of adult audience’s attention.However, due to the participation of children’s reality TV show and viewing subject is children, so in addition to entertaining, also need to have a children’s program of education property, both physical and psychological characteristics of children, even at the same time it makes children’s reality inevitably accompanied by a lot of controversy and at the same time in the booming problem. Children’s reality TV show is a TV products, with product attributes,this determines the children’s reality TV show must face the market competition, accept the market test. Ratings become reality show for children and strive for goals, low ratings will lead to no advertisers sponsorship, which in turn lead to no funds support, show vitality, it’s very difficult to maintain. As a result, many children’s reality TV show in the commercial interests driven played down "to the children as the standard" consciousness, the commercialization, utilitarian, adult, entertainment, and many other problems. In addition,due to the limited by the programming level, growing audience’s requirement, and many other factors, the influence of children’s reality show market emerged the phenomenon of copycats,lead to show the serious problem of homogeneity, lack of originality. Taken together, the domestic children’s reality TV show in concept, policy, system and there are many problems in such aspects as management mode, scholars and children’s television producers, these problems need attention and reflection.The research of this paper through the analysis of existing problems, points out the future children’s reality TV show in the process of innovation and development need to be aware of,and the innovation of the reality of children for the future provide several methods, in order to promote children’s reality TV show the long-term, healthy and sustainable development.
