In all IT systems of bank, Core business system provides deposits, loans, payments and many other basic financial services to customers, completes all the bank’s accounting operation. In a way, the core business system is the foundation of banks to conduct business, the performance and reliabilty of the core business system has a crucial impact on the functioning of the entire banking.With many years development of the rural credit cooperatives, Jiangsu Province, the size of the original core business system continues to expand, the costs of development and maintenance also rise. Launching a new financial needs to take a long time from several months to more than half of a year. It reduces the ability of the bank to seize the market greatly. The reason is the original core system using "transaction-driven" model, so adding a product often need to add a series of transactions. With the development of business, the number of transaction become more and more, and the size of the system also increasing day by day, the cost of development, and maintenance increase substantially. And the risks become higher and higher. In order to adapt the tendency to conduct business through a variety of ways, improve competitiveness, reduce system operation and maintenance costs, the rural credit cooperatives of Jiangsu Province, is tring to construct a new generation core banking system.In this thesis, architecture and implementation of a new generation core banking system is studied. By abstracting the bank’s existing business, and learning from foreign core banking solutions provider, the overall design and implementation of next-generation core banking system is presented. The goal is to build a real sense "thin core" banking system. First, based on the needs analysis, existing core banking business were summarized to extract a series of "atomic transaction",and to form the "atomic transaction" library of core banking business; then the combination methods and procedures of "atomic transaction" were designed; and finally, the format of packet and the integrity of the transaction were discussed.By refining and defining a series of "atomic transaction", these "atomic transactions" are combinated to achieve specific business scenarios. it improves code reuse rate, and reduces the core business systems development work to help maintain its stability. In addition, due to the complex business rules were stripped from "atomic transaction", and the definition of business rules were given to peripheral systems, the flexibility of the core business systems improved greatly. This implementation shortens the period of the introduction of new financial products, and can respond to changes in the financial markets rapidly, so it will increase the core competencies of banks.
