Electric vacuum tube plays an irreplaceable role in the civilian, medical fields and our contemporary defense industry, its manufacturing process has a very strong manufacturability, especially its quality in the exhaust part of the manufacturing process directly determines the quality and service life of the vacuum tube. In order to change the situation that four-tubes exhaust equipment is still in manual control in enterprise, this paper designs and develops an automatic control system for four-tubes exhaust equipment, to help the enterprise improve the automation level of the exhaust processing equipment. This is of great significance for the enterprise to ensure the product quality in the production process, reduce the production costs and improve the production efficiency. And it also helps to further improve the automated production level of the domestic exhaust processing equipment of electric vacuum tube.Based on the introduction of the exhaust part of the manufacturing process and present single-position exhaust technology, this paper presents a four-position exhaust automatic control system using industrial computer and intelligent instruments. The monitoring system sends commands to intelligent instruments by RS-485 bus, to control the processing parameters. By using the concept of grouping, this system can adapt to having vacancies in the practical application, and terminating a tube in the halfway sometimes. On the basis of the system design, this paper also complete the hardware design, including the oven temperature subsystem, filament power subsystem and anode power subsystem, and the software design, including the monitoring system, database system and the serial communication in the industrial computer. According to the complexity and diversity of the four-position exhaust machine, this paper uses a phased control strategy based on the characteristics of the different stages of the exhaust processing, and the control effect of the practical application is satisfactory in the simulation runing.Finally, the paper summarizes the work of this project and makes up with suggestions on further design and development.
