Research And Implementaion Of Educational Administration System For Ningbo University Based On SOA And Workflow

With the development of information technology, many universities in the world have already entered the information age. Most departments of Ningbo University, as a young local comprehensive university, have set up their own business systems, but those systems are often fragmented, and finally they have formed information isolated islands. This situation has led to some problems. For example, there is little support for the interaction between the systems, and the business process is not clear and inefficiency enough and so on. On the other hand, after existing and operating in a very long time, the school’s educational management system has many difficulties to meet the current requirements of teaching, and there is an urgent need to re-development this system. During the construction of school educational administration information system, an urgent mission is to use uniform norms and standards for integrating information systems of various departments.This thesis takes the educational administration information system of Ningbo University as the target to carry out research and development, and this system can provide efficient solutions to integrat all isolated information systems of Ningbo University based on SOA and workflow technologies. Main works of this thesis are as follows:(1) In order to solve the "information isolated islands" problem, this thesis proposes the SOA-based overall information architecture of Ningbo University, and designs the corresponding enterprise service bus which integrats the educational information system with some associated systems in business relationships.(2) This thesis analyzes and optimizes some typical educational administration business processes of Ningbo University, and designs corresponding services according to these processes, and finally uses the workflow technology for modeling and management these processes.(3) According to the requirements of Ningbo University educational administration, the educational information system of Ningbo University is designed in this thesis, which includes school management subsystem, open arranging management subsystem and management subsystem course selection.(4) By using JAVA EE, SOA and workflow technologies, the educational information system of Ningbo University has been developped and implemented, which combines with a variety of open source frameworks.This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of SOA and workflow-based Ningbo University Educational Administration System. This system is implementated by using SOA, Web Services, workflow and JAVA EE technologies. This system provides a strong support for the school administration and information management for Ningbo University, and it also provides a valuable reference for constructing campus information system and educational administration system for other universities.
