In recent years, considering the cost, management, efficiency and other factors, there are increasing demands and high-level requirements of automatic control of production process in semiconductor manufacturing factories. It is expected that control system of factories can get numerous production data from semiconductor manufacturing equipments and use the data into production control process. It means that the provider of semiconductor manufacturing equipments, besides improving the capacity of producing materials, also needs to meet the requirement above. This thesis describes an automatic production data collection system, which is based on Hynix Korea requests of material-related data collection during Wire bonder production process, combines the characters of Wire bonder system itself and meets customers’requirements.The data customers demand is large and scattered. Based on the data types of customers, all data is divided into magazine data and material data by Wire bonder. Moreover, according to the definition of data, the data is classified into different phases:input magazine ejection, material preparation, material processing, and material processed and output magazine ejection. Wire bonder sends related production data to factory host system during different phases, which ensures the systematicness and integrity of data. It will also ensure Wire bonder system under control and easy to maintain.This design is based on the definition of E39 object service standard in SECS/GEM protocol in semi production industry. The material tracking defined in E90 and S14F1/S14F2, the message format used for object communication between equipment and host, divides the system into four modules, including data input module, data classification module, data package module, and data uploading module. Eventually, the system realizes data collection automatically and uploads data to host automatically, which ensures the integration and consistency of data.Finally, this automatic production data collection system is realized and delivered to customers. Based on the feedback from customers, this system meets their requirements of data collection and proves its practicability. In addition, this thesis discusses some anticipations of this system at the end.
