Radio News Interconnection System

The business systems in FOSHAN MEDIA GROUP. INC. interconnect by the data exchange system. However, due to the reasons for the original technical architecture, the radio broadcasting system still failed to connect with the data exchange system. To meet the needs of business development, a radio news interconnection system is designed to connect the radio broadcasting system and the data exchange system. And then the radio broadcasting system can obtain the material from the TV news system on network.The designs of key functions of the radio news interconnection system are based on the radio broadcasting system’s requirement to the news material. According to these key functions, the system is divided into several modules, such as file sharing access, audio file generation, audio quality check, file ferrying and graphical interface. The audio file generation module uses the FFmpeg solution to process audio data. This module separates audio data from source media files, implements audio transcoding and destination audio files output. The file sharing access module uses a samba server to provide functions of file writing and reading for the connected systems. The file ferrying modoule depend on the development libraries of libusb. By operating the Host-to-Host USB transmission cable, the module ferries files without ip network. This module also implements the secure connection of ip network by using network isomerism. The audio quality check module checks several basic indicators of the audio data by using some concise and efficient algorithms. This modoule also output XML report files for audio quality check by using the libraries of Libxml. The graphical interface shows background tasks in a good view by using the GTK+. According to the actual needs, the development of the whole system is based on some open source software. The system’s operating environment is Linux CentOS release.The raido news interconnection system enable the connection between the the radio broadcasting system and the data exchange system. So the radio broadcasting system can obtain the news material on network, and the Editorial staff no longer need to use removable storage devices to export and import files between the systems. Thus the efficiency of broadcast news production can be improved effectively.
