Water as a basic resource in a wide range of industries, with the increasing demand of water resources, water conservation has become the subject of our attention, so the rational use of water resources and the monitoring mechanism is more and more important. High quality water supply system will meet our future development, and improve the utilization of water resources, and improve the traditional way of management of water resources.With the development of science and technology, especially network and communication technology, the modern degree of our life is getting higher and higher. In the industrial field, we have realized the information processing, the state monitoring, remote data acquisition, and equipment maintenance and so on. In the water supply, we also realized the integration of remote monitoring. The water well monitoring system has been widely used in many fields, such as water, urban water, electricity, water supply and irrigation, etc., has a lot of in hydraulic engineering practical value; Improve the operation efficiency, the system less investment, easy operation, saving water resources; Along with the more perfect function, can bring great social and economic benefits.This paper describes a remote water well monitoring system adopts many key technologies such as multi-tier architecture, GIS, GPRS communication technology, IC card, database, etc. This system is based on the.NET platform, using C# language development.The system integrates the functions of selling water and monitoring consists of three parts:Monitoring terminal, information center and GPRS communication network. The main functions include water well monitoring, data collection and transmission, IC card water selling and equipment diagnosis System in many fields have been widely used, so this study has great practical value in water supply engineering.
