The Research On Construction Of Mobile Reading Platform Of The Ancient Agricultural Books

In the 1980s, our country started the digitization of ancient books and made a series of achievements after decades of development, such as bibliography databases, full text database sand network full-text retrieval systems. Under this background, the digitization of ancient agricultural books has also made some progress, many databases has been established at present, like " ancient agricultural books database", "Chinese ancient agricultural science and technology information database", " image database of ancient agricultural books, etc., which promote the worth of ancient agricultural books passing on and agricultural research. However, these databases, which are based on computer, require readers to be equipped with computers when they want to use them. Today, with the constant development of the mobile Internet information technology, all kinds of mobile terminal equipments have changed the reading style and have become a important carrier of reading. People are becoming accustomed to get information and knowledge by mobile phones, tablet PC, PDA and so on. Databases based on computer don’t make ancient agricultural books to walk into the life of ordinary readers really and limit the circulation and sharing. Because of this, this research brings ancient agricultural books into mobile reading and builds a Mobile Reading Platform to provide ancient agricultural books conveniently and quickly for researchers and amateurs. The thesis combs the number, distribution, version and range of ancient agricultural books, and talks about the development of them and their value to modern society. After comparing and analyzing different metadata and classification, the metadata of ancient agricultural books and new classification applied to mobile reading are designed. With overall designation of the platform, this paper states the ideology of construction, system structure, functional requirements, detailed function modules and database system. On this basis, the functions are tested, including logining, searching, downloading, reading and so on. Finally, this paper pointed out the deficiencies of theoretical research and the reading APP to provide some references for later research.
