On The Supplementation In The Restoration Of Ancient Books

This paper mainly discusses the supplement in the restoration of ancient books.The supplement in this paper refers to the supplement of incomplete parts in ancient books.In Chinese traditional books,fill with mostly bibliophile choose the same or similar in ancient times to by hand or a shadow copy version of the book,can say with filling is an important part of Chinese ancient books in modern,however,has a large number of books collection unit at the national level for much of the collection of books with a nature of cultural relics,so modern ancient books repairing personnel in the face of the books are in the nature of cultural relics,uphold the principle of "repair the old as sweet",not the damage distribution for ancient books,this concept has a reasonable side,but there are defects,the purpose of the ancient books repairing in addition to extend the service life of ancient books,the most important thing is to facilitate the reader to read.Therefore,on the premise of not destroying the original appearance of ancient books,we can still supplement damaged ancient books.In this paper,a large number of previous examples of supplement were found,and the object of supplement,the precondition of supplement and the feasible method of supplement were summarized.At the same time,the feasibility of supplement in the restoration of ancient books was discussed through the example of supplement and restoration of my master's graduation work--ancient minister's jian(incomplete volume).In fact,for the damaged ancient books with conditions for supplement,it can not only extend their service life,but also facilitate readers to read,to maximize the improvement of its value.
