Satellite motion platform physical simulation test system, which has the advantages of good controllability and security, plays an important role in related research in spaceborne radar. Motion platform and its control software system play an important part in satellite platform system. Radar’s performance has direct relation with Radar research ability and its test reliability. Therefore, the excellent performance、 steady operation satellite motion platform and its control system development are the key of improving radar research and reach ability.In this paper, a certain typical radar platform is build and the control system is designed. This platform system motion’s commands mainly are sent to the PLC controller through PC. The antenna azimuth and elevation angle signal are sent to platform mechanical system each drive, which is used to control the azimuth and pitching motor sports realize the change of antenna angle. Adjusting antenna pitch/azimuth angle and platform rectilinear motion has corresponding sensor feed location information to the PLC, realizing the closed loop control system.This paper expounds on the mechanical mechanism of a radar movement platform’s operational requirement, Project design and function design are made completely for the working principle, the specific composition and mechanism. According to the design of technical index and functional requirement, the selection of design, checking and its precision analysis are done the for the important part of mechanism. A realizable radar system that could ensure radar movement and precision requirements of the organization is designed for its entire platform system set up the basic motion mechanism, as the mechanical system based to realize the basic function of system.In this paper the key technology of radar control system and the space coordinate transformation are specified of the derivation process. With the development of space positioning technology, the application of coordinate system transformation theory is more and more widely. In many areas are involved in the issue of coordinate system transformation and unification. In this paper, on the basis of previous studies, improve the algorithm of coordinate transformation,and write the MATLAB program, and invoke in the software algorithm procedures, using c # and MATLAB mixed programming.The hardware system and PC control software of the control system which is based on the implementation of control functions. With Siemens S7-200 PLC as main controller automation control system and select the other parts of the hardware part. Using Microsoft’s Microsoft Visual Studio C# programming software for PC control software development, control system structure and software flow chart are designed. Upper machine (PC) through the RS485/RS232 serial interface connected to the PLC controller. Designing the corresponding communication protocol which is used to realize information communication between control software and machine controller. It also used to realize the control of PC to the radar platform and real-time monitoring.In this paper, a radar motion physical simulation test platform and its control system is designed. At the same time, a control software of platform motion for the engineer is developed. The system has a greater degree of improvement in the intelligent、economy、reliability, reducing the cumbersome management work of daily system record, improving the automation degree of the system. For similar types of radar in the research and development, the control system design provides a sample at the same time brings good operation platform, which has the very high practical value.
