To solve the problems of shortage of experimental facilities resource for control theory teaching,unsatisfactoriness in teaching effect,function limitation and so on,control engineering innovation experiment platform is developed in this paper.Multiple experiment schemes can be realized by vast open communication protocol and software,hardware resources,based on KingView,MATLAB,VB,C#,LAB VIEW and other upper computer software,which can be combined by different ways.The main contents in this paper include hardware design,communication protocol design and algorithm implementation.In the aspect of hardware design,the overall scheme design of the system is presented,and the components of hardware facility,including AD/DA interface card,digital PID adjuster,simulation water tank model,are described.In terms of communication protocol design,based on the MODBUS-RTU communication protocol,the communication between KingView software and experimental platform is achieved,and query dynamic monitoring,real time curve,history curve,history report query,and other functions are realized.Based on the Simulink serial communication protocol,the communication between MATLAB software and experimental platform can be realized,and various complex control algorithms can be realized.On the basis of the hardware-in-the-loop simulation system build by experimental platform and MATLAB software,a connection interface of KingView and MATLAB/Simulink can be achieved by DDE or OPC data communication technology.Taking the advantages of each tool,design system interface by KingView,realize complex control algorithm by MATLAB/Simulink,communicate by Simulink serial communication module and data acquisition card.A new hardware-in-the-loop simulate system is designed,which can make the consumer develop control system with complex algorithm conveniently and rapidly.In the aspect of algorithm implementation,according to the characteristic of typical object in the process control system,single-capacity tank model and double-capacity tank model are build.The algorithms in single variate system are realized,including fuzzy PID control,Smith predictive control,cascade control and model predictive control.Besides,quadruple capacity tank model is build,and the algorithms in multiple variate system are realized,including state-feedback decoupling control and LQR control.The system with simple operation and vivid animation effects provides a good platform for the associated researchers to design and verify the various advanced complex control algorithms,which can meet multiple demands.
