Research On Interaction Through Barrage Video Based On The Theory Of Interaction Ritual Chains

Network video is an important way for the audience to have access to information and leisure, and the development of Internet technology is driving video website to keep updating to meet audiences’ needs for interaction when watching movies. The barrage video is based on the technology of barrage player,so that the users can sent comments while watching the video, users’ comments appear on the screen with video playing.With the traditional video website promotion of barrage technology,barrage video, this new interactive way,has been known to the public. The barrage technology is just unfolding in the industry, and academic study about barrage video is to be perfected. This thesis has had a specific research perspective-----users’interaction through barrage video,and sand analysis to this new interactive way.This thesis draw point of view from the Interaction Ritual Chains, semiology theory.In order to elucidate the users’ barrage interactive behavior and the interaction results,this paper adopt the method of theoretical analysis and some quantitative analysis methods such as questionnaire and content analysis.This thesis can be divided into four parts:The first part outlines the related concepts of barrage, combing the development process of barrage and barrage video, and lists the barrage products of professional barrage video website and the traditional video website which introduced barrage technology, and carries on the contrastive analysis to the characteristics of these products.The second part introduces the fact that users use barrage to interact on the platform of video. The barrage player is technical supports of the barrage video platform.The interactive behaviors of users need to follow certain interaction rules, and the characteristics of user who are the body of barrage video interaction are summarized combining with the network questionnaire survey results.The third part analyzes the user’s interactive behavior on barrage video, it describes that users read and send barrage comments to supplement video information, share viewing feelings, comment and tease what they see at a given time by logging on to their respective ID account to aggregate in a interactive platform for the common focus of attention, The interactive behaviors between users belong to a kind of interaction ritual; The interactive forms of barrage video users include interaction between the users and the video,the interaction among users,between the users and the video-makers;and the users’interaction content,according to whether is related to the video, can be divided into two kind:interaction based on the video and interaction free of the video.The fourth part analyzes the results of users’interaction on barrage video.It is an interactive ceremony where users interact on barrage video every time,and users obtain the "Relics" on behalf of the group, the emotional energy and status symbols, and they experience the sense of satisfaction of self expression and a sense of belonging to a group, a sense of unity, and what they obtained is the " cost "and "drive" of users’ next interaction ritual, in the situation again and again, users continue to conduct new interaction ritual, that is to say, constantly interact through the barrage video, thus forming an interaction ritual chain of barrage video interaction. At the same time, users’ interactive behaviors on barrage video also produced some adverse effects. Therefore, this thesis puts forward some strategies such as perfecting laws, improving barrage technology, improving users’ literacy and so on to guide the healthy development of barrage video.
