Mobile Internet has become an important driving force for the development of contemporary society. Encouraged by the national policy, the various walks of life began to embrace the mobile Internet, and enjoy the benefits of mobile Internet. Among them, Wechat which is on behalf of the "Internet + communication", is outstanding in the field of mobile Internet, and the social status of Wechat that has a huge user scale has also been widely recognized in the industry. People think that Tencent received “the first mobile Internet ticket” with Wechat. There is no doubt that Wechat as an instant messaging product has great social value and communication value, but what can not be ignored is that Wechat contains a considerable commercial value. However, the problem is that the business model of Wechat is not perfect, and still faces the bottleneck of business model innovation. Therefore, this article studies the business model of Wechat,which has important theoretical significance and practical significance on Wechat itself and the mobile Internet.Firstly, in this paper the concepts related to the business model is analyzed and sorted, and the business model of Slywotzky’s theory is selected to be the theoretical basis of this paper. Secondly, this paper makes a detailed analysis on the current situation of the development of Wechat and its features, and highlights the profit premise of the business model of Wechat. Thirdly, combining with the business model of Slywotzky’s theory, this paper analyzes the main factors of profit, and by drawing some lessons from business models established by other foreign mobile instant messaging products teases out four major business models that is suitable for the development of Wechat, systematically. Finally, based on the analysis of the future development trend of mobile Internet, this paper boldly predicts the prospect of the business model of Wechat, and gives specific opinions and suggestions...
