Integrated Design And Implementation Of Zhenhua Yuguang PDM-ERP System

With the scale enlargement, the implementation of information management has increasingly become a necessary selection for manufacturing enterprises. More and more manufacturing enterprises begin to implement and apply information systems, including PDM(Product Data Management) and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning).PDM and ERP are different from each other but also closely related, which manage the overall framework and life-cycle of products. An ideal condition is that the design, development and implementation of these two information systems are from the same software company, and then the seamless integration of data in the information system will be realized. However, PDM and ERP of most enterprises are from different software companies. Meanwhile, it is also a manufacturing enterprise with rich varieties, low volume and discrete engineer-to-order characteristics. It successively implemented ERP, PDM and other information systems. As PDM and ERP belong to different suppliers, their system data cannot be shared, so PDM-ERP integration has been a key focus and difficulty of Zhenhua Yuguang’s information efforts.Based on the research of current PDM and ERP systems of Zhenhua Yuguang, the learning of the enterprise requirement and information status, and the combination of the design idea of software engineer, it is decided to adopt C/S mode, MS SQL Server database and system framework of ERP. And meanwhile, develop the client program of CIMS(Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems) system with MS Accessing. The development of Zhenhua Yuguang’s CIMS system is completed through data collection, demand analysis, overall design, detailed design, system test and other work. Through the configuration to the secondary development function of PDM system and by the combination of CIMS system, the design data in PDM system can be automatically converted to available manufacturing data, and then manage, verify, and transfer the converted manufacturing data so as to settle the data integration, sharing and transfer between systems and realize the PDM-ERP system integration. Through the realization of PDM-ERP system integration, the conversion efficiency of design-manufacturing data is increased and the research-production cycle is shortened; In addition, the promptness, accuracy and consistency of data conversion is also improved so as to enhance the enterprise’s ability of rapidly responding to the market and promote the enterprise’s comprehensive competitiveness.The design and realization of PDM-ERP system integration not only settles the left-over problem during the enterprise’s information process, but also offers an example on the information system interface for the manufacturing enterprises.
