Research Of Evolution About The Concept Of Intelligence In Artificial Intelligence

Humans are living in modern society environment which the intelligence science and technology are ubiquitous, although they own great enthusiasm for machine thinking, if they lack of a full understanding of the intelligence concept itself in philosophy, it would still be in a weak stage, and simultaneously it could hardly achieve a higher ideal condition of the adaptation of intelligent environment on the physical plane.The scientific researches in the fields of intelligence are the minority which make ideological blend with the research of philosophy (especially philosophy of science) at the beginning phase. But, the related discussion in the present domestic research, which from a historical perspective combing and analysis of the concept of intelligent in thoughts, is often neglected. When there is a lack of the in-depth study for evolution mechanism of the concept of intelligence, we can hard to achieve the philosophic understanding of concept of intelligence much better in nature. Therefore, in this paper, the main goal of the research will point to the analysis and discussion on the development of the concept of intelligent, which provide a solid foundation to comprehensive understanding of the nature of intelligence. The attempting of this article is to rely on the artificial intelligence theory which is the theoretical background of the concept of intelligent, and to combine with the characteristics of system scheme of intelligent technology subject. We attempt to comb and analyze on the development of intelligence concept, and to find the logical relationship within schools of each different stage for understanding of intelligence concept, eventually to unify the explanation of intelligence concept and wish to understand what the nature of intelligence is. The background of this article is based on the concrete representation of intelligent technology such as artificial intelligence, machine intelligence, computational intelligence, intelligent knowledge (cognition) and intelligent behavior (decision), etc., it have begun from the sprout of Leibniz’s intelligent cognition,next to the really proposition of intelligence by Turing, then though the approach of intelligence understanding from connectionism, symbolism and behaviorism which are the three main artificial intelligence schools, finally to trend into the evolution of unified concept and to comb and analyze the nature of ’intelligence’ concept on the historical dimension.
