A Philosophical View Of Artificial Intelligence

Since the emerging of AI(short for artificial intelligence) in DartmouthConference in June1956, it has got rapid development. Since more than50years ofemerging, as an emerging interdisciplinary subject, AI has got rapid development atthe same time that the ideas, theories, methods and technologies of AI has penetratedinto many areas of science and technology and various aspects of human life. AI isthe behavior that makes intention to use computer intelligence to simulate humanintelligence, and uses this to deepen the awareness and understanding on the essenceof function and intelligent of human brain. Introspecting to the research field of AI,some criss-cross philosophical problems are perplexing each AI researchers. Seenfrom philosophical problems involved in AI, it not only involves philosophicalsignificance, but also involves the application of AI. To resolve these problems, theresearch on AI shall inevitably involve the discussion on traditional philosophicalproblems such as consciousness. This article researches a number of issues raised inthe development process of AI from the perspective of the philosophy, discusses thebasic problems of intelligent simulation with the scientific basis of cognitive scienceand the carrier of computer, and uses dialectics and consciousness to conductresearch and analysis, makes in-depth analysis on the relationship between humanintelligence and AI and the social problems brought by AI. In the near future,humans will give full play to the consciousness of the human mind to create andtransform new intelligent machines, AI would continue to develop and progressunder the leading of human intelligence.This paper will explore the development of artificial intelligence in five parts:The first chapter briefly describes the origins of AI, the most representative fourschools of AI, the scientific basis for the development of AI and the latest researchachievement of AI. The second chapter compares the artificial intelligence andhuman intelligence between the understanding from the perspective of dialecticsartificial intelligence and human intelligence development. The third chapterdescribes the philosophical foundation of artificial intelligence, through awarenessand dialectic perspective, indicating the nature of artificial intelligence’s impact on consciousness. The fourth chapter analyzes the impact of development of artificialintelligence on human society, and the discussion of social issues. The fifth chapteris a summary of the previous chapters, with the hope of achieving a better resultunder the guidance of philosophy.
