With the development and popularization of the Internet, the number of mobile devices is growing with each passing day. This requires the network providing mobility support to ensure the mobile equipment can keep communicating. Facing the growing demands of the internet, the traditional IP network shows more and more defects in the mobility support. People are facing the challenges like the IPv4 address shortage, the triangle routing problem of mobile IP protocol and the poor information safety. To solve these problems, domestic and overseas researchers research on the next generation network in full swing. The vector network is a new network which presents a new switching label-the vector address. Based on the vector address, the distinctive transmission structure and the control structure are designed. The vector network can ensure the security, and support the unlimited expansion, but the support for mobility is still insufficient. In this dissertation, the author design a protocol mechanism which supports the mobile network, and fundamentally solves the problems coming with the mobile network technology, such as the triangular routing, mobile handoff and so on.(1) The author summarize the capacity of the existing network technology to support the network mobility, analyses the defects and problems of the current path optimization mobile IP technology and dual label separation technology in supporting the network mobility. The author mainly introduces and analyzes the vector network and the three identification separation systems.(2) The author comes up with the mobile design scheme for the future network architecture, completes the work-flow from mobility detection to path switching and the related data-packet design, and accomplishes the design of the router equipment, which is capable of storing network topology and routing and carrying the network control surface function to support the network mobility. The future network architecture is designed in the perspective of supporting the node mobility, no extra proxy servers are needed to fulfill the mobility, and hence the switching speed is fast with a low packet loss rate.(3) For the promotion issue of the future network architecture, the author realizes the convergence of the future network architecture and the current IP network by transforming the gateway device. The author designs the convergence data packet which carries the data from different network and the process flow of gateway to hand convergence data packets.(4) The author proposes the NAT penetration technology to improve the current IP network by using the future network architecture’s convergence gateway. This technology enables the hosts in different private network to visibly communicate with each other.(5) The author proposes and realizes the experimental scheme of the future network architecture supporting the node mobility and network convergence based on the VMware Workstation platform and CENI network experimental platform. The simulation experiment verified the mobility support of the future network architecture and the convergence capability with current IP network.
