Role-Replacement Reality Shows By Using Narrative Theory To Analyze The Subjects

The form of ’Reality Show’ has had the significant attention and praise of audience from very early age.’Reality Show’influenced Chinese society since end of 20 Century,’Survival Challenge’ was the first TV ’Reality Show’ in China literally. After the hit TV of ’Super Girls’, the TV program of ’Reality Show’ has been the mainstream TV form.With the popularity of ’Where Are We Going, Dad’,’Running man’,’I’ m a singer’,’the voice of China’,’Deformeter’,’1st Grade’,’Real man’in China, there are many ratings miracles created by TV satellite channels and TV production companies again and again. The development of China’s ’Reality Show’ can not be omitted by the mimicry and buying copyright from successful oversea TV program. While, there are also some maladjustments of oversea TV programs for Chinese audience after imported to China regarding the difference of cultural background and view of value.’Deformeter’was awarded the’Best TV Reality Show’, also ’Real Man’was awarded the’2015 the most creative influence TV program of satellite channels’.by the State Administration of Radio,Film and Television. It can clearly be seen that the reality shows of role-replacement form has been recognized gradually, which show the value of research as well. While, it is only handful research of those TV programs in the academic study, and the research of narrative perspective is much more weaker comparing with other studies of TV programs.This dissertation will analyze the content of’Real man’,’1st Grade’and ’Deformeter’, which are the typical Reality Shows of Role-Replacement form. ’Reality Show’ is one of the art of narrative. To achieve the effect of delivering information effectively, it is necessary to use the strategies of narrative. Therefore, it could provide the suggestions of the long-term development for those Role-Replacement Reality shows by using narrative theory to analyze the subjects, objects, perspective, time and strategies deeply, understand the functions of narrative and discover the potential issues.
