The Research On Service Status And Strategy Of WeChat Public Platform Of Shanxi University Library

With the increasing popularity of smart phones, mobile instant messaging application made rapid development, at the same time, SNS(Social Network Service has a great development,The combination of mobile instant messaging and SNS become an important means of communication in people under the current Internet environment, in this trend, University Library also constantly looking for a variety of platforms to develop information service. WeChat public platform is a multimedia service platform launched by Tencent on the basis of WeChat. Formally launched in August 2012,WeChat public platform rapidly applied to restaurants, hotels, banks and other industries, and achieved good development.University library is also actively create a new way of information services by using the WeChat public platform.In September 4, 2012, Beihang University which is the first university library opened a WeChat public platform,then other Universities of China followed.WeChat public platform is designed for teachers and students to provide more convenient,fast and various information services, among them, Chinese have 39 "985" universities, 30 of them own the be authenticated library WeChat public platform, due to the "985" university libraries provide the platform service earlier,the experience in the function of the platform construction is relatively rich and ahead of other similar Universities, such as University of Science and Technology of China library, Xiamen University library,Renmin University of China library, Chongqing University library WeChat public platform do well in practice. At present, Shanxi province has 71 colleges and universities, only 5 universities library opened WeChat public platform, the opening rate is only 7.04%, the construction and application of WeChat public platform in the library also have a lot of problems.Therefore, aiming at the problems and phenomena existing in the initial stage of the development of the information service of University Libraries in Shanxi Province,This paper conducted a survey for 30 Chinese "985" universities library Wechat publicplatform and 5 Shanxi Province universities library Wechat public platform, carrying on the contrast analysis.At the same time, teachers and students of 5 colleges in Shanxi Province do the questionnaire about service status of the library Wechat public platform,using the method of reading literature, investigation and research, comprehensive analysis, at the current university libraries of Shanxi Province WeChat public platform,the problems are the opening rate is not high, started late, slow development,lacking of interaction, the function is not perfect. At the same time, finding out the reasons for the problems, including the school does not pay attention to the platform, the platform is not in place, the lack of standardized management platform, the library’s own resources are not attractive. In fully understand Shanxi University Library Wechat based on the platform of public service status and reference to "985" universities outstanding experience, combined with data of questionnaire,providing help and reference for Shanxi university library WeChat public platform construction and development of three aspect:platform construction、platform management、platform propaganda.
