China has 688 million Internet users and more than 4.13 million websites by the end of December 2015. Internet has assimilated into people’s life and been involved deeper and deeper into economic and social development.The network also brings many new social problems while it brings great convenience. Internet Governance is of increasing importance. Therefore, our country has established the Leadership Team of Central Network Security and Information, which was the cue for raising internet governance to a new level and considered internet governance as a national strategy.We have been aware of it that the Internet Governance is a global issue, which should be governed with international community. So for two years the World Internet Conference were held in Wuzhen, where different fields of the Internet leader were invited from different regions, discussing the issue of Internet governance, put forward China’s proposition on it. And in the meanwhile calling for the creation of a global Internet governance system.In this paper, we first described and summarized the stage and status of Chinese Internet governance. We’ve found that through the initial stage and stage of development, Chinese Internet Governance today is no longer a government’s top-down authority management mode, but a common governance system of diversified subject which is participated by multiple parties. And in 2014, a new stage of network space governance was opened, and cooperation with the international community began to be valued. Combined with the two World Internet Conferences, this paper analyzes the concept of Internet Governance in the new stage, and analyzes the governance model of China. Finally, based on that, according to the governance and good governance theory, we put forward some suggestions to improve the governance capability of China’s Internet from drawing lessons from the experience of Internet Governance in developed countries.
