Historically, teachers play an important role in society, and widely respected and loved by the public, not only have a good social image, but also have a high status in society. However, entering the Internet age, especially in the current network since the media environent, the social status and image of the primary and secondary school teachers has a tendency to decline, negative reports concerning teachers are frequent appeared on the media network, affecting the social image and work of teachers widely.The main content of the study consists of five parts:The first chapte is introduction part, mainly expounds the research background and significance, and clarifies the concept and progress of the related studies, the research status of both at home and abroad to pay, and narrates the research methods.The second chapte is theoretical foundation part, elaborates the four agenda setting theory, framework theory, social perception theory and education ecology theory.The third chapte choses two media representatives,sina weibo and tianya BBS as the object, to analyze primary and secondary school teachers’ social image.Through the empirical analysis,in the fourth chapte, i find that the primary and secondary school teachers’ social image under the network environment is poor in general; Teachers’ social image is focused on broad, but they are mainly moral accomplishment; social image language is filled with violence and tough problems reported. The causes of these problems are: the disordered media environment, the lack of effective supervision, lacking the ability to identify the public information, teachers’ quality is diffient,and schools do not reach the designated position.On the basis of the study, the fifth chapte suggests three aspects to solve these problems. On the social level, government should perfect the relevant laws and regulations, strengthen the supervision of the media;guide the media public opinion, purify network environment;and improve the public’s ability to identify information. On the school level, school principals should strengthen the construction of teachers’ professional ethics; respond promptly and complete the media public relations; voluntarily accept supervision by public opinion to improve teachers’ work.On teachers’ personal level, teachers should improve their moral quality; set up the consciousness of public relations, and actively respond to the media; use the media to comprehensive self-examination.
