Satellite automatic tracking technology plays an important role in the research of satellite communication system. Compared with the mechanical scanning tracking technology, satellite automatic tracking technology based on phased array antenna has the advantages of fast scanning speed, flexible beam control and high anti-interference ability and so on. The signal processing platform is the core of phased array automic tracking technology. In this paper,we design the hardware of phased array auto tracking signal processing platform based on the specific project requirementsFirst of all, we analyze the operation principles of phased array auto tracking system, and define the main function of the signal processing platform in this paper. And then we define the system architecture of the signal processing platform according to the need of function. The design of the hardware system is completed based on the relevant parameters of the front end and the back end of the whole auto tracking system. The signal processing platform includes ADC circuit, DAC circuit, system clock, system power supply, communication circuit, FPGA system and DSP system. The main function of the ADC circuit is to convert analog signal to digital signal which can be processed by the digital signal processing system.The DAC circuit is mainly used to convert an digital IF signal to analog IF signal for the output. And the other device can use this analog IF signal for decoding and communication.The clock module can provide different frequency and level of the clock signals for each module of the system which needs a clock signal. The mainly function of FPGA system is to complete the process of tracking search capture, angle estimation and beamforming.The DSP system is used to complete the tracking filter. The FPGA system communicates with the DSP system through the uPP interface,The FPGA system transforms the estimation of the angle to the DSP system, and the DSP system transforms the tracking filter data to the FPGA system during the run time. In addition, the system communicates with the main wave control unit through the RS-485 interface.Secondly, this paper describes the preprocessing algorithm of the whole signal processing platform including data buffer module, DC canceller module, complex signal generation module,channel uncertainy calibration module. And these preprocessing algorithms are all vertified on the hardware system in the end.Finally,this paper describes the test of the hardware system. The test result shows that the designed hardware system can meet the requirements. As the configuration of AD9522-4 and AD9788 is complex,this paper analyses the operation principles of them and describes the configuration method in detail. In addition, this paper also descirbes the design of uPP communication interface in the FPGA which is used to control the receiving and transmission of data.
