On August 18, 2014 and February 19, 2016 President Xi Jinping respectively pointed out that "China will promote the in-depth integration of traditional media and new media" and "the Party will promote integrated development in terms of news and public opinion, and actively make the most of the advantages of new media." Media convergence has risen to a national strategic height. As for traditional media that have been developing with new media, the news applications has become the main form. As of 2015, the number of traditional media’s applications has reached 231, forming a pattern full of vigor. Chengdu Economic Daily launched the Chengdu Economic Daily News Application in May 2015. As of March 2016, the number of users has exceeded 550,000 and the downloads amounted to 312,000. As a mainstream newspaper brand in western China, what developments has Chengdu Economic Daily achieved? How do the users think about its application? Which factor will affect users’ feedback? What can be done to improve the application? This study will focus on these issues.This study will base on the user’s point of view, and adopt the use of in-depth interviews, document analysis and questionnaire to study the relationship between acting factor, the degree of users’ satisfaction and usage behavior. This study will also give a further analysis of acting factors. In the preparation stage, study extracted variables by in-depth interviews and document analysis.In the study design stage, the study puts forward the hypotheses and carry out the operational definition of 12 variables,then design the questionnaire.In the research implementation stage, questionnaire is distributed through the network and collected.In the statistical analysis stage, SPSS20.0 is uesd to test hypotheses,then makes the conclusions.In the further analysis stage, study combines the influencing factors and the actual situation of the App to analysis and found the existing problems. Basised on these findings,study proposes the strategies for Chengdu Economic Daily News App’s development.This study,on the one hand, is to explore the factors that affect the users’ using of Chengdu Economic Daily News App Daily client;on the other hand, is to investigate whether the users’ actual usage and Daily expectations are consistented and then found the existing problems.The study of the affected factors’ results showed that there are 8 variables existence significant correlations with satisfaction,and a significant positive correlation between satisfaction and usage behavior. The study of combinas the factors and actual situation of the App’s conclusions are:(1) the depth report is the quality assurance of the news App, but news editing still flawed;(2) local news supply cannot meet the needs of users;(3) the interesting contents are popular but the production technology should be upgraded;(4) the immediacy of reptiles function being diluted;(5) the App’s interaction be starved;(6) service information is much more popular than service section;(7) time costs negatively affect user satisfaction;(8) concise interface is the main reason that perceived ease impact on satisfaction for users;(9) the herd mentality and stereotypes affect whether use the Chengdu Economic Daily News App. This paper aims to study through above results to put the reference of Chengdu Economic Daily News App’s development, while have the implications for other newspapers App’s development.
