With the universe of mobile terminal and widely used of internet, features and of operational method of traditional home appliances has been changing. Smart TV becomes a trend, and smart TV multi-screen interactive product connects mobile devices and smart TV, using their respective advantages, promoting the user experience of watching TV, and meeting the need of using mobile devices while watching TV by multi-screen interactive. The habit of watching TV has been changed, and various smart TV multi-screen interactive product is becoming ever more. But, studies related to Smart TV multi-screen interactive product design methods and design principles still lack, and need to be researched systematically.On the basis of user-centered design theory, this paper built a set of design process and design principle for smart TV multi-screen interactive product, to lead the development of this kinds of products, to improve user experience. This paper mainly studies the following contents:Firstly, it analyzes the research status of user-centered design and smart TV multi-screen interactive to summarize the existing problems. Secondly, it describes the meaning of the UCD theory, processes and methodologies, and analyzes the characteristics of multi-screen, and the type of functional, smart TVs and mobile devices, the use of environmental characteristics which affects the product positioning and functionality factors, to elicit the user-centered design principles applied to the smart TV multi-screen interactive product design. Then, under the guidance of UCD theory, dividing product design into three stages:strategy formulation, research and analysis, design implementation, from products define, persona establishment, scenarios writing, determine the product features and priorities, prototype test and evaluation to stating smart TV multi-screen interactive product design process based on UCD. Simultaneously, from the structure plane, the skeleton plane, the surface plane of products, putting forward design principles including:information architecture, interactive mode, interface layout, navigation, visual effects, animation of smart TV multi-screen interactive products. Finally, under the guidance of the design process and principles set forth above, completing the design practice of Hisense TV micro assistant as the verification of research results.In this study, smart TV multi-screen interactive product as the research object, analyze the users, devices features, usage scenarios, combined with user-centered design principles proposed design methods and principle of smart TV multi-screen interactive products, and verified by design practice. The establishment of the design framework is good for the development of smart TV multi-screen interactive product. It also enriches the theory of user-centered design and smart TV interactive.
