Although there is enormous number of applications releasedevery day, it is still very difficult to find an application developedspecifically for aged people. It is obviously contrary to the increasingnumber of elderly population both in China and globally. Therefore,this paper will concentrate on the rapid development of mobile phonesecurities applications and the aging of securities traders, researchinteraction design for mobile phone securities, and aim to findpractical and effective solutions for the aged people.Based on the related researches internationally, this paperresearches into various mobile phone securities applications andanalyses the features and interface design of those applications.Through user-centered design method, together with interviews,surveys and observations, this paper will come up with a behavioraland a psychological model on how aged people use the forth-mentioned mobile phone applications. Using user profiling, this paperwill clearly define the needs and objectives of aged people and theywill be applied in the three levels of mobile phone applicationdevelopment: information architecture, interaction design, and visualdesign, providing with a solution to developing mobile phone securities application for aged people. Lastly, through collecting userfeedbacks and testing, this paper will report on the problems anddrawbacks of designs and give further suggestions to makeimprovements.This paper suggests the mobile phone securities applicationsinterface designs based on the behavioral model of the aged people.The design of mobile phone securities application for aged people willbe objective oriented and work from the user’s perspective. This paperalso explores how UCD theory can develop viable solutions whendesigning mobile phone application for specific groups, and create astrong foundation for future researches in this area.
