Under the rapid development of Virtual Reality technology, Virtual Roaming has become an aroused general interest of computer science research. VSTM (Virtual Science and Technology Museum) is a virtual 3D roaming system which combines Virtual Reality technology with computer networks. This research topic based on the purpose of practice and popularization for scientific research achievement, focused on the overall interaction system of Virtual Roaming System for the first time, according to user-centered principle, and carry out a series of systematic research, planning and interaction design, in order to create a better user-friendly degree. In this paper, first the background and research status related to Interaction Design and Virtual Roaming at home and abroad was discussed, then, with the example of Virtual Roaming System, the system structure was analyzed, the overall design goals were set down, and a user research using the method and process of Interaction Design was carried out. On the basis of pre-study, with the example of VSTM, the system prototype was created, the user interaction process was set, User Interface and functions were designed and interactive objects and interaction methods were systematically researched and designed. At the same time, a concept of aid system was proposed creatively, in order to optimize the interaction details and aid functions. Then, the peripheral resources were planned. Since the design prototype can be presented, user evaluation was conducted. At last, development introduction and application prospect were given. Topic not only has convergence and innovation significance in scientific research, but also in practice and popularization, there are broad prospects.
