With the rapid development of the modern measurement technology, optical coordinate measuring machines have gradually become a research focus in modern measurement. In our country’s industrial production, it is widely used in various fields and has great value on practical application, especially in dimensional printing, aeronautical blades measurement, restauro and medical 3D printing.In traditional situations, coordinate measuring machine often goes to spot scanning with physical contact, but it goes against to industrialized production benefit because of slow measurement speed and low-density data collection. At the present stage,3D measurement is improving gradually based on the development of new technology, such as picture processing, application optics and machine vision. We can acquire 3D information of objective object more fast and reliably. Therefore, this topic has great theoretic significance and practical value.This research introduced status of 3D measurement techniques which is commonly used at home and abroad. Aimed at the problems of slow measurement speed, low-density data collection and low measuring precision, it puts forward a non-contact coordinate measuring machine with the line laser to improve speed, density and working efficiency to industrialized production.It could complete the project of optical path measuring system and the construction of hardware system based on measuring principle of laser triangulation and direct irradiation. The coordinate measuring machine mentioned in this paper mainly contains the equipments of optical 3D measuring and biaxial motion platform controlling. The former contains line lasers and 3D camera, and the latter contains computers, motion controller and biaxial linear motor. This topic presents an adaptive filtering algorithm and a multi-view image mosaic algorithm in the 3D data processing. By using dynamic searching window, it can select the best filtering window and filter the noise automatically. It can also splice 3D images based on cross-correlation matching features. This paper discusses 3D measurement on various samples and analyzes measuring result and performance parameters.Measuring samples include:(a) two different radius-balls; (b) 3D textures-leathers; (c) the trailing edge of aeronautical blades.According to the results, it finds out that this coordinate measuring machine could apply to measure complex curved objects with the advantages of high speed, high resolution and high precision. Above all, it not only achieves to technical requirements, but also plays an important role in measurement field. Furthermore, it has a vast application prospect in 3D measurement field.
