Reasearch On Figure Report About Table Tennis Players In China Sports Daily

Man is a microcosm of the times. Sports take human being as the center. Sports figure report is a bridge built by sports activities and era development for sports figures. China Sports Daily, as a sports party newspaper, reflects changes in sports and even the whole society by sports figures hosting the sporting spirit with the features of the times. This paper chooses table tennis, the leader of the development of sports, as an entry point to study figure report about table tennis players in China Sports Daily.This paper studies figure report about table tennis players in China Sports Daily with the literature and text reading method. It sorts out the figure report about table tennis players from 1958 to 2014, and divides it into three periods:the initial exploration period (1958-1978), the transition development period (1979-1999) and the vigorous development period (2000-2014). It analyzes the sample text at different periods from shallow language, image, structure, theme, deep philosophy and culture and explores the development trend of figure report according to the characteristics of each period.Under the influence of all sectors of society, figure report about table tennis players in China Sports Daily keeps changing:the language style is gradually rich; it is good at using the rhetoric and literary expressing means; it increases the coverage interest and narrows the distance with the audience; the reporting angle is diversified, and the image of table tennis plays changes from single athletics hero to diversified social man; the continued reform of the social system also makes the ideological color in figure report fade; but China Sports Daily has a clear positioning as a party newspaper and adheres to promote the social mainstream values; changes in reporting language, image and so on are to strengthen the inherent human-oriented spirit of sports.The study found that the reporting language about table tennis players in China Sports Daily always adheres to the construction of the image of the hero team in social change, China Sports Daily always sticks to popularity and guide to the public, the reporting themes transform from heroism to humanism and gradually tends to strengthen people’s self-awareness, and figure report about table tennis players keeps pace with the journey of building a sports power.
