Design And Implementation Of Pregnant Health Management System Based On Mobile Platforms

Pregnant women and their families need a lot of health knowledge and health advice from the doctors in pregnancy. According to surveys, most maternity wards in hospitals in Beijing are providing offline pregnant curriculums, which benefited the participants a lot. By now, the rapid development of the mobile Internet makes it possible to provide this kind of curriculums online in everyone’s phone. In addition, when facing some emergent symptoms, they always head to hospitals directly with high costs in traffic and in registration. In facts, we found that in some cases, they can solve the problem by communication with doctors via telephone. Our solution to these two problems is to make an App which provides professional pregnant curriculums and health consult service.This paper will explain the process of design and implement of the Pregnant Health Management System in detail. The system is based on major mobile platforms include iOS and Android. It provides the following functions which relying on modular and hierarchical design principles of software engineering:(1) User Information Service module provides the function of user registration and login, user information management, user finance management and mobile payments.(2) Health Information module provides graphic and video contents for users, which are uploaded and managed by operational people in backend.(3) Consult module manages the whole life-cycle of health consult orders, which includes order creation, real-time doctor scheduling, dual-way telephone connecting, order billing, order appraise and complain managements.(4) Doctor Management module involves doctor qualification examination, doctor work arrangement and doctor income settlement.(5) Activity Management module includes user points, coupons and promotion actions managements.At the beginning of the project’s planning phase, the author did participated in technical investigations on mobile payment, call center service access and online video playing. In the process of design and implementation, the author finished the module partition and detailed design in each module, followed by the coding in backend programs and small part of user interface on iOS client program.By the time of completion of this paper, this application has been published on App Store and Android markets in China, serving thousands of users. It also brought considerable income for hundreds of doctors at the same time. The developer team are keep working on the subsequent development, aiming to provide more users with convenient services.
