With the development of computer and network technology, especially the popularity of all kinds of mobile internet terminal equipment technology and intelligent mobile phone, tablet computer, the catering companies have more effective choices to enhance the quality of their service. In recent years, the major food companies have increased the investment in the information technical transformation. From cash regiester system with single function to more complex integrated system, the informationnization of the catering industry is posing a rapid development.Taking the KaiDa Hotel catering service and its management business as the background and according to the demand of the management information system construction of the hotel and in combination with the advantages and the disadvantages of the existing catering management software, the paper porposed a catering service informatoin system in line wit the actual situation of Kaida hotel, which realized information transformation various aspects including the the table management, hotel and catering management booking management, order management, bill management, consumption management, inventory management, the membership and discount management, human resource management etc. The main technologies used are as follows: using the combination of HTML5 technology Primefaces as the front-end display layer, using JSF as the system control unit, using Hibernate Data Persistence technology to achieve scalability features the best, using Oracle to achieve high availability data storage.This thesis includes the following works: first analyse the characteristics of KaiDa Hotel catering management services, demonstrates the feasibility of the information system, refine the system function, interface, performance and other aspects of the demand, design the system architecture, main function modules, use the MVC design pattern, and complete the detailed design of the system data model layer, view layer, business logic layer and database, and carry out the implementation, functional and performance test.
