Research On Energy Consumption Monitoring System Of Green Data Center

The future is the era of information. Communication will mainly be focused on data communication. The main emphasis of large telecom operators will be to build the data centers. But the current situation is that only half of the energy is used on IT equipment, the other half is consumed by critical physical infrastructure including the power supply equipment and air-conditioning etc. We can measure whether a data center is green from the aspects of infrastructure construction energy saving, operation efficiency and so on. We design the framework structure, implementation plan, monitoring object and function realization of green data center energy monitoring system by studying the energy consumption structure, monitoring interface protocol and transmission method. By building the energy consumption monitoring system, on one hand we can improve the efficiency of data management and avoid excessive energy waste. On the other hand, we can evaluate various energy-saving measures during the data centers building procedure, and provide data support for the wide application of any kinds of energy-saving measures. In this paper,the ultimate goal of the construction of the green data center energy monitoring system is to be safe, reliable, intelligent, efficient, green and economic.
