In recent decades, with products processing tending to intensive, the construction machinery of coating, which is an indispensable part of the process, has been rapidly and extensively applied in every walk of life. In the face of people’s blowout demand for products, only coating construction machinery achieves higher efficiency that the crisis of supply and demand of the product can be overcome. However, intensive production has also brought many problems for the design of production line and manufacturing, such as the interference caused by dense placement which leads to the interference with the part and external, or between the parts, that serious impact on the efficiency of design. If the coating production line can be fast and accurate designed, coating engineering enterprise can obtain lots of economic benefits.Considering the external and internal interference phenomenon of the pendant in suspension type coating production line, two-dimensional parametric system and three-dimensional dynamic simulation system were designed to solving the interference in this paper, which was based on parametric design and virtual prototype theory.(1) For the external interference of the coatin pendant, AutoLISP was used to carry out the development of 2D parametric automatic mapping software for the curved surface of the coating. First of all, the bending mechanism was classified, and then the detailed motion analysis and the calculation model of the coordinates were obtained. Finally, the coordinate calculation model was compiled into the application to make out the integration with AutoCAD. The parameters of the movement of the suspension could be quickly generated with this software, and a reference for the design of anti interference and external box was provided.(2) For coating pendant internal interference, a simulation system, with which the pendant internal interference could be quickly detected, was developed by using NX secondary development technology. This system consisted of parametric modeling, automatic virtual assembly and simulation pre-processor module. Firstly by combining NX open language and VS2010 program tools, all parts of the simulation system were modeled and a parameter modifier was devised. Secondly, based on MFC, mechanism automatic assembly was brought about in NX. Finally, in the simulation environment, automated add in simulation pre-processor module was integrated. By validated simulation test, internal interference in 3D pendant could be detected, meanwhile the feedback data, preventing interference and optimizing system, was provided by related output results.Using two types of system above, lots number calculation in the design process of coating line can be avoided, resulting in greatly improved efficiency and precision, and reduced labor intensity.
