The technology of virtual reality has been applied in industrial design and production comprehensively. This technology has been not only transforming the way and consider of design, but also advancing the effect of production. Aiming at characteristics of the Research object, this thesis makes a simple introduction to the spherical space probe device. After comparison and analysis it takes Pro/Engineer as the modeling software, whose feature-based parametric design technologies are used to build three-dimension parametric model, and the toolkits is taken to develop the automatic modeling functions. Then virtual assembly paths of the detectors are researched. Based on the assumption that the assembly and disassembly process are reversible to each other, the mouse click and dialog input methods are used to set disassembly paths, and the real-time disassembly process simulation and interference checking are made after calculation and processing. It makes inverse operations to get the corresponding assembly path.In order to enable users to obtain a more comprehensive, intuitive and perceptive understanding, the system has realized the virtual browse of the scene in three ways: manually browse, automatic browser, fixed-point observation. Users can choose different ways to browse the scene detection devices from outside and inside. Finally, the thesis analysis the design objectives and functional requirements, and designs the overall framework of the simulation system. The whole system will be divided into modeling module, analysis module, Virtual View module, etc. and the modules are all implemented. Meanwhile the whole article is summarized as well as the next necessary work is pointed out.
