Four-rotor contains four propellers which into a "+" shape, its flight attitude is usually represented by the Euler angle. When we controlling the quadrotor, if there are obstacles blocking the line of sight, we can’t control the quadrotor fly well. If we install camera on the quadrotor and send the environmental information to us, we can transfer the control signal to quadrotor and control the flight attitude.The traditional four-rotor usually has a special remote controller. If we want to receive the image information which is captured by the camera on the quadrotor, we will need to install the image transmission module on the remote controller. In other words, there are two circuits to transfer the remote control signal and the image signal. Embedded system has the advantages of easy to carry, low power consumption, specificity and so on, it has become a hot research direction.This topic use S3C6410 as the core of the special embedded video monitoring terminal. This terminal not only has the image transmission module but also has the remote controller, it sends control signal and receives image signal via the same WIFI. At the same time, the terminal also can take pictures and video, it has the advantages of specificity, easy to carry, etc.The hardware core of the monitoring terminal is S3C6410, which has high performance and strong multimedia processing capabilities. There is a high-power WIFI module connecting the terminal and the maximum transmission rate is 150 Mbps. This terminal connects two 10 K rocker potentiometer to generate the control signal. We use ARM11 which connects a camera and a WIFI module to simulate the aircraft terminal. We choose the UDP protocol to transfer the control signals and the image signals. After receiving the JPEG image signal from the aircraft, the monitoring terminal should check it first, if the JPEG image signal is right, the hardware image codec module will decoding the image, then use the post processor to convert the image format and resolution and finally display the image on the LCD screen by the framebuffer. At the same time, the analog control signal generated by the rocker can be converted by ADC and transmitted to the aircraft, so as to control the aircraft flight attitude.The key research contents of this paper include writing the ADC module driver code, Socket network programming, the method of receiving and checking image, conversion principle of image formats and resolutions, etc.The innovation of this paper mainly has the following two points: First, the image transmission and remote control signal transmission is concentrated in one circuit, so that the remote monitoring of the four-rotor is more convenient. Second, it’s flexible to set the compression ratio of the image according to the performance of the network, and using postprocessor to adjust the format and resolution of the image.At last, the function and performance of the monitoring terminal are tested, and the improvement suggestions are put forward.
