Software Communications Architecture(SCA) is a top-level design specification, which was proposed by Modular Software programmable Radio Association(MSRC), and released by American Joint Program Executive Office(JPEO) and used for supporting software radio systems development to ensure the developed communication system has flexibility, interoperability and dynamically loading features. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the SCA specification, its advantage has become increasingly evident and it has been widely applied in modern wireless communications.The development of the SCA-based radio system involves signal processing, CORBA, wireless communications, processor, and many other standards and technologies, which across multiple disciplines and is more integrated, so it has a certain degree of difficulty. At present, the development of the SCA radio communication system can be divided into several fields, which contains the core framework, waveform, node, as well as system integration. The research object of this paper is the development of SCA waveform.Firstly, this paper deeply studies the waveform componentized technology. This paper analyzes the basic application interface of the SCA specifications to make clear the properties and actions of each interface, and this paper studies the waveform component development technology and component code generation technology, then this paper proposes the SCA waveform component-based development process to standardize the SCA waveform development.Secondly, this paper develops a graphical integrated development environment with plug-in technology in the Eclipse platform, which implements the seamless integration of waveform development in modeling, code generation, compile and link, simulation and integrated deployment.Thirdly, this paper designs and develops the QPSK waveform.This paper analyzes the function of QPSK waveform, and the QPSK waveform is divided into four waveform components, while achieving the development of each component of QPSK waveform as well as the visual assembly of QPSK waveform in the integrated development environment.Finally, this paper sets up the SCA + USRP test platform. This paper verifies the function of QPSK waveform with Matlab software simulation, and tests the installing and removing, creation and release, and data transmission of QPSK waveform on the test platform.Tests show that the waveform componentized technology not only reduces the waveform development difficulty and improves the development efficiency and quality, but also shortens the cycle of communication equipment upgrading and promotes the promotion of software radio technology.
