Based On The Embedded Software Bus Integrated Development Environment Research And Design

In old days, people directly used assembly language to develop embedded system. Except kinds of application, programmers must write monitoring procedures and debugging environment by themself. But with rapid development of embedded system, the old way becomes unsuitable. People need an integrated development platform to develop systems rapidly.How to design an embedded IDE with software bus is the theme of this paper, and interrelated knowledges of Embedded IDE, software architecture, software bus and the way to design Embedded IDE based on software bus are present. This paper is divided into five parts:Firstly, it introduces the background for embedded software development, including definitions, characteristics of embedded system, knowledge of embedded IDE and newly development.Second part introduces software architecture's concepts, characteristics and effects on software development. It is prepared for later researches on software bus.In third part, researches on software bus are given. It studied COM and CORBA, which are typical software bus design based on distributed object technique. Then it introduces an instance from the software bus model, which includes MsgBus software bus and Busadapter bus adapter.Forthly, this paper uses MsgBus as framework to design an instance of embedded IDE. It consists of four components: ProjMng, KernelSetting, InfoMgr and Resource Access Controller. It is proved that EmIDE can make embedded system development more effective.The last part makes a summary of this paper, summarizing characteristics and innovations of EmIDE, pointing out its defects, and proposing later work.
