With the rapid development of computer, network, IC and image processing, the video surveillance technology come to being. With its intuitive, accurate and efficient advantages, video surveillance has been successfully peneteated into the traffic, public security,defense and other fields. Into the 21’s Century, With the development of the society, progress of technical, upturn living standards of people. The HD video surveillance has become an inevitable topic in today’s society. Today’s video surveillance industry is in the key stage of transition to HD. But how to use existing technology to design and implement a good HD video monitoring system, with real-time performance, high reliability and low price to help humens transfer their SD devices to HD is still a hard problem. That is also a difficult problem to the sustainable development of the major manufacturers to overcome.In 2014, at the moment of HD-TVI and HD-CVI on the focus, the AHD turned out. Once launched, it has been widespread concern in the industry. AHD syste m not only can fully support analog HD signal, perfect compatible with digital signal, but also easy to achieve switch function among DVR, HVR, N VR mode freely, Besides it also can simultaneously support analog BNC and digital network RJ45 standard interfa ce, can access to the AHD standard HD analog signal source and ordinary analog signal source. At the same time, the AHD equipment has solved the balance between the high definition network camera and the old system. And it can be perfectly compatible with digital signal source, as far as possible to maintain a similar operation and installation method. Its simple and convenient operation, can be directly followed by the way of the SD transmission of analog signals, very suitable for old system transformatio n and upgrading.This paper describes the current situation and development trend of embedded system and video surveillance technology. it describes the background and significance of the current AHD system. We make sure that the design and implementation of the new generation of AHD software system which based on multi mode switching should pay more attention on dynamic memory allocation and Analog video source adaptation. This scheme is a more detailed discussion and study of some of the key technologies of AHD system, and proposed some problems that may exist in the project, which has a certain reference value for the colleagues who are in the relevant technology.
