With the growth of the country’s economic, and the awareness of national security, personal safety and property security issues gradually attracted people’s attention. At the same time, with the rapid development of embedded system, network technology and video codec technology,the role of the embedded network video surveillance equipment in the field of security has become increasingly prominent, is very popular with the market.In view of the shortcomings of traditional video monitoring system, monitoring scope is limited, the picture is not enough clear, operation and management is inconvenience etc. This paper designed an embedded network video monitoring equipment, because of the digital processing of the video data, the image is more clearer, and the monitoring scope is not subject to regional restriction, operating and management is relatively simple etc. It can be widely used in security industry. This paper uses TI’s DaVinci technology, using ARM + DSP dual-core architecture, designed the embedded dual-stream network video surveillance equipment, had achieved the multiplexers of the video data and upload the video date to the network. The main work is as follows:1. Details of the DaVinci technology(including the DaVinci hardware and DaVinci software) and Digital Video Software Development Kit(DVSDK).2. For Linux-2.6.32 kernel, this paper has carried on the detailed understanding and analysis,according to this article chooses the TMS320DM365 chip, had make the appropriate modification and configuration to the kernel, and completed the design of the drive of video decoding module in TVP5151 and the driver of image scaling module.3. Analysis and presentation of the principles of video processing framework of V4L2, in the framework of V4L2 had completed the acquisition of video data, processed the one way video data into two different output resolution video data, using the function provided by the DSP video processor interface to complete encoding of video data, and completed the encoded video data for local storage and upload to the network respectively.This design of embedded network video surveillance equipment has been tested many times,functions are normal, reach the expected effect.
