Along with the more and more extensive application of embedded video monitoring system and its complexity has also increased, the front-end integration, digital video, network monitoring and system integrated is the general development trend of video surveillance system. Digital and network surveillance system for video capture technology requirements are becoming more and more strict. High-definition and ultra-clear images is the main standard of the performance of video capture. Therefore, the research and development of video capture and transmission technology has a broad commercial value and scientific research value.After in-depth research on DaVinci technology, we design and implement the system of video capture, transmission system based on Davinci technology. The main content of this paper includes the hardware system architecture of Davinci technology, the architecture of software system and the application development of Linux. According to the survey results and the project requirements, the platform based on the dual core processor DM6467T of the DaVinci series is chosen as the embedded video processing platform. It has the independent development module, including the dual core architecture microprocessor module, the network communication module, power module, etc., and can shorten the development cycle effectively. Transmission process using the main flow stream media transmission technology of LIVE555, video stream coding standard in the transmission process is H.264 video compression standard. ARM + DSP architecture based video solution is solved with embedded processing core of the video system the preferred option. Since ARM processor small size, light weight, low cost, high reliability, rich peripheral interfaces, low power consumption, widely used in the control field; The DSP is a specialized codec algorithm processor, widely used in pipeline operations, which Davinci technology software framework of complex algorithms higher part of the modular process, greatly enhancing the independence of the algorithms and the application of such algorithms portion has good scalability to fit in video processing represented by large amount of computation systems. ARM + DSP dual-processor architecture that can effectively combine the strengths of two processors, what they need, mutual complimentarily, get well for embedded video processing system. This architecture is embedded processing systems and video processing modules in parallel mode, it is feasible and efficient. Ultimately the embedded intelligent video processing system is realized, which has the functions of multi-channel video input and output, video analysis algorithms, background network control, large capacity video storage and so on.
