The TV entertainment program is the kind of TV programs which is promogated by TV and participated in by the common people. Its main features are entertaining, interesting, aesthetic and ornamental.The TV entertainment program not only shows the audiences the fashion trend and colorful world, but also imperceptibly cultivates the interest and aesthetics of common people by applying all kinds of means to stimulate audiences’passion and participate in the program. One of the most important incomes is advertisers. Besides, the TV entertainment program also will cooperate with many media such as cellular phone and online video to earn profit. Only when it attracts more audiences can it get the opportunities to cooperate with them. With more fund, the program producer are able to produce more qualified and attracting programs. If the program wants to attract the audiences, it must apply Differentiation Strategy in the process of the production and marketing. The main function of TV entertainment programs is same, but each program can have specific functions, resulting in different economic and social benefits. Moreover the enjoyment is also different. The Differentiation Strategy in service, in other words the broadcast schedule will also influence the audience rating. The Differentiation Strategy in marketing leads to different publicity and additional value. The same usual product can be sold for years, but it’s impossible for the TV program. The second stage can’t be the same with the first. They must be different from each other in production and marketing. This thesis is taking Dad, where we go? as an example to illustrate the Differentiation Strategy in it from different perspectives, which may be used for reference. By borrowing some experience overseas, it will be useful for the future development of Chinese TV industry.
