In recent years,go with the loss assessment of insurance industry going through a bottleneck period, to adapt to the job dealing with insurance claims in a new period, video surveillance system has got wide applications in insurance services. Video surveillance system, which combined with Internet, can meet the needs of those insurers operating. At the same time, because the traffic accidents rate has kept growing and the size of video surveillance system has continued to expand,as a result, mass data storage demand has become a problem facing the storage field.We finally designed and implemented the network storage management sub system with video data to meet the needs of operating. Based on the work of domestic and foreign situation of network storage, we Compared different kinds of network storage technology, and at last found out a good solution to resolve the network storage management subsystem faced with video data’s problems by using IP SAN network storage technique basing on iSCSI. The technologies discussed in this paper can make the system work well.In the paper, we propose the system architecture solution of the network storage management subsystem faced with video data, meanwhile, the main functions within the system were introduced. In the modular design, detailed and in-depth introduce the design ideas, realizing process and testing process of the author’s responsible modules like time manage, trash data manage, devices information query, devices status query and so on. In the paper, the system we designed adopts the most advanced and realisticnet work storage technology. Under Linux/Windows,we used C/C++ to make the system intelligent, integrated, simplified,practical. And user-friendly.At present, the network storage management subsystem faced with video data which we have designed has been handed,has been well performing. Finally, we analysis the weaknesses of the system, summarize the problems and point out the modules which can be optimized.
