The Design Of The New Generation Weather Radar UPS Remote Monitoring System

According to the actual situation of the Inner Mongolia new generation weather radar UPS is scattered, long distance, low management efficiency.the traditional cycle inspection management can not to keep abreast of the current operating status of each UPS. This paper designs a UPS remote monitoring system, Mainly realizes real-time monitoring of the radar ancillary facilities-UPS Input/Output Voltage, input/output current, input/output frequency, UPS battery voltage and capacity, load percentage and UPS fault history, etc. And the fault information in a text message sent t radar maintenance and support personnel, duty personnel in the monitoring center can real-time monitor UPS status and query UPS historical data.Realization process of the system:Firstly, the information of UPS through the RS232 communication port access network adapter. Secondly, the information is transmitted to the local area network through the network adapter’s analysis and conversion (It need to set the unique IP address for the network adapter). Finally, all the information is transmitted to the monitoring center computer server through the computer. As long as the server is installed on the corresponding server software (And enter all of the IP address of the UPS network adapter), the UPS running state can be monitored by the monitoring center.In this paper, the hardware design and software programming of the monitoring system are described.
