"Digital image" plays a more and more important role in today’s society. Because digital images contains large amount of information,Criminals can capture the digital image when they are in the process of transmission, they can get secret information from the digital image.The important information of our personal privacy and government agencies, national security department is likely to be stolen. So, protect the information security in the process of digital image transmission is a hot area of research.The process of AES algorithm is introduced, the internal structure of the algorithm was researched. The design of related Verilog HDl code modules was completed on the Quartus II software of Altera company. The validation of the function simulation was completed between Quartus II and Modelsim software and the results accord with the test data.This prove that the encryption module could encrypt data correctly.At the end, the power of the encryption module was analysised,the two parameters:the system throughput and power consumption are balanced.Various information hiding algorithm were analysised. LSB algorithm development earlier, high versatility, easy operation, suitable for hardware implementation. Finally the LSB algorithm was selected as a hiding information algorithm of the system.Finally the construction of the system hardware platform was completed. ROM is set up by using FPGA internal macro function module to store encrypted image data and vector data.The register configuration and related function of the external memory SDRAM and TFT screen drived by SSD1289 chip were Completed.After the test,the system can display the results of the encryption and information hiding correctly.
