Network is a modern information transmitting medium and its transmitting security has been gradually concerned. Therefore, the study of the information security becomes increasingly hot. Once put the application of cryptography and information hiding technology into the communication process simultaneously, the encrypted information has the property of cipher confidentiality. Such as encrypt the confidential information firstly and then transmit it in a covert way. Additionally, when the confidential information is hidden into the digital carriers, it can not easily be perceived. In this case, the security of information transmission can be better protected. This thesis is related to AES cryptology and information hiding technology, and a hardware design, which is based on Advanced Encryption Standard(AES) algorithm and Least Significant Bit(LSB) algorithm, is put forward in this thesis at the same time. Firstly, it introduces the basic theory of AES cryptography and common information hiding technology and makes a further illustration about the practicality and necessity of the technologies mentioned above. Secondly, according to the requirement of the design of the module, the structure of the AES algorithm has been replaced by parallel processing structure, so the transmission efficiency of the AES plaintext data is speeded up prominently. As for the overall information hiding modules, there is a detailed introduction which includes information hiding submodule, information extraction submodule, AES algorithm submodule and LSB submodule. Finally, using Verilog HDL language to make a RTL-level description about information hiding modules, and complete its verification and analysis successively.
