In this dissertation, anti-control and synchronization of chaos in single-ring erbium-doped fiber lasers(SREDFLs)are investigated with numerical simulation. Three schemes to study the anti-control of chaos are given. Anti-control of chaos in SREDFLs are investigated based on delay phase-shift feedback control,delay polarization feedback control and mutual injection. The dynamical characteristics in these SREDFLs by adjusting properly the parameters is presented. The method of chaos anti-control and the parameter interval of the chaos are also investigated. Chaos generation is realized in the SREDFLs. Then chaotic synchronization of two SREDFLs based on three schemes is investigated by using the method of chaotic signal driving. The results show that no matter the original driven systems are in chaotic state or periodic state, the chaotic synchronization is realized by adjusting the driving intensity appropriately. Furthermore, the quality of chaos synchronization is analyzed by using the correlation coefficient.
