With the rapid development of mobile services, more and more people enjoy the convenience brought by the network service. Thus, people feel urgent to obtain better network service anytime and anywhere. In 2008, IETF NETLMM working group has proposed a network management protocol-Proxy Mobile IPv6(PMIPv6) protocol.The protocol can meet widespread demand for mobility services. However, PMIPv6 protocol will still cause large handover latency during handover. It can’t be acceptable by the real-time demand of higher business communication.On the other hand, in this era of commercialization, user authentication, registration and some other security problem is getting more and more attention.The basic PMIPv6 protocol is not including AAA security mechanism.Hence, this paper proposes an architecture including the AAA server into the NS2 for PMIPV6. It does improve security, but with the appropriate certification, registration and other operations during the handover, it also brings more delay.This paper proposes an improved handover algorithm based on AAA server, named A-PMIPv6.When MN enters PMIPv6 domain at the first time, it needs to take an AAA authentication procedure. However, when MN moves between MAGs in the same domain, it can perform handover procedure without the authentication of AAA again, and speeds up the handover process. In addition, A-PMIPv6 also uses a fast handover scheme and cache mechanism, which make handover delay and packet loss to a minimum.Secondly, we proposes an improved scheme by using parallel method based on A-PMIPv6,named PA-PMIPv6. It make some signaling to execute parallelly When the corresponding entity is idle. Therefore, it will not increase the signaling overhead, but also make full use of idle resources, and improve the handover performance.Finally, we implements the simulation of PMIPv6, A-PMIPv6 and PA-PMIPv6 program in NS-2.29. Results show that the PA-PMIPv6 scheme can effectively reduce the handover latency and ratio of packet loss, and improve network performance. |
