Proxy Mobile IPv6is not only a solution to IP mobility demand for new methods, but is anetwork-based localized mobility management protocol, which support IPv6node mobility byextension of Mobile IPv6[RFC3775] protocol between the home agent and the mobile nodesignaling messages. Compared to other mobile IPv6protocol (eg FMIPv6, FMIPv6,FHMIPv6), PMIPv6does not require mobile node participate in any decision-makingassociated with movement, the network proxy entity responsible for tracking the movement ofthe mobile node and launch mobile-related signaling transmission, which can reduces theterminal protocol stack design complexity, improve network operators the ability to controlthe entire network.Accelerate Proxy Mobile IPv6domain handover speed can further improve networkperformance. By analyzing the handover process in the Proxy Mobile IPv6domain andcompareing with the existing mobile handover solution, this paper presents an update basedon prediction and early handover solution, which can predict the momen that the mobile nodeleaves the old mobile access gateway (Previous Mobile Access Gateway, PMAG) andaccesses to new mobile access gateway by calculating the movement of the mobile node andthe carrier sensing range of the gateway. when handover needs to be done, this solusionprepared in advance to update the entity chain (Binding Update List) in the new mobile accessgateway (New Mobile Access Gateway, NMAG), then the NMAG will send a letter to thelocal Mobility Anchor (Local Mobility Anchor, LMA), which updates the binding update thecache, so the mobile node can access to the NMAG quickly. This solution can reduce thehandover time, lower handover delay, reduce the dropout rate and improve handoverperformance.(In the predicted moments node to leave PMAG and is about to begin accessNMAG,this solution updates the entity chain in the NMAG and the binding update cache inthe LMA earlier to reduce the workload of the next actual handover needs, thereby reducingthe switching delay.)To verify the new solution, this paper using NS-2(Network Simulator version2) platformto do the simulation, and then compared with the old program in handover delay, packet lossrate and the network throughput. Simulation results show that the proposed handover sulotioncan not only keep the network throughput constant, but also can lower handover delay, reducethe dropout rate and improve handover performance significantly.
