In Proxy Mobile IPv6protocol, all data are required to pass through the forwarding local mobile anchor, this will lead to increased the burden on local mobile anchor point; if the mobile node and the communication node is similar to the network location, because the data transmission is still going through the local mobile anchor, this would result in the transmission path redundancy, reduce network transmission efficiency. To solve the problem of data transmission in the Proxy Mobile IPv6protocol, this paper points out the necessity of using routing optimization transmission mode, and proposes different solutions of the mobile node’s routing optimization paths of intra-domain and inter-domain handover reconstruction, the main research as follows:1. Introduces the development status of Mobile IPv6, pointes out that the current lack of Mobile IPv6protocol which is mobile terminal based, and gives an in-depth study of the related technologies and the basic principle of Proxy Mobile IPv6protocol, then analyzes the existing Proxy Mobile IPv6intra-domain and inter-domain handover management approaches.2. Combines the PMIPv6route optimization approach with the mobile node’s intra-domain handove scene, proposes the improved approach of reconstruction route optimization path after intra-domain handover, in the new approach, mobile access gateway initiates the route optimization process in advance, compared to the original approaches; new approach reduces the participation of the local mobility anchor. Performance analysis and simulation results show that the improved intra-domain routing optimization approach is better than the original approach in handover cost and handover delay.3. Analyses the scene of Proxy Mobile IPv6inter-domain which is few studies at present, at the same time, proposes an inter-domain route optimization approach based on fast handover, new approach can establish the optimal path in advanced before mobile node’s handover, and through the signaling interaction between mobile access gateways to build bidirectional tunnel between them.Through the comparison of performance analysis and simulation results, the inter-domain route optimization approach based on fast handover can bring the smaller handover cost and handover delay.Route optimization is the focus of the research in Proxy Mobile IPv6protocol, mobile nodes communicate through the routing path, this not only can reduce the delay of data transmission, but also can make full use of network resources, reduces the occupancy of the channel. In this paper, the intra-domain and inter-domain routing optimization approached both use the idea of fast handover, initiates the reconstruction of the route optimization path when the mobile node’s handover occurs, reduces the handover delay effectively; and aslo, the entire route optimization process is initiated by the mobile access gateway, reduces the handover cost, reduces the burden of local mobile anchor.
