Automatic Deployment System Of Virtual Router Based On VSphere Platform

Network virtualization technology is the virtualization technology mostly in need of reform. From the traditional VPN network virtualization technology(virtual private network) and VLAN(virtual local area network) technology, then the SDN(Software Defined Network), Vxlan(Virtual e Xtensible Local Area Network) and NFV(Network Function Virtualization) technology is changing. This paper involves H3C’s virtual router(VSR), which is a software router product mainly installed in the VMware virtual machine of v Sphere virtual platform, and is the product realization of NFV technology.In the VMware v Sphere virtual platform architecture, number of virtual machines(VM) need to be deployed in different ESXi servers, and virtual machine instances on the need to install the different operating system. VMware v Sphere is the virtual platform of VMware company, including the virtual host server ESXi server and management server VMware v Center Server. VMware v Center Server can flexibly manage the different ESXi servers, which provides convenient and effective method for the management of virtual machines by providing a scalable and extensible platform. Virtual router is a cloud infrastructure equipment, plays a role of cloud gateway in the deployment of Cloud Architecture, mainly installed in the virtual machine on the ESXi server. With the development of cloud computing technology, how to realize the personalized configuration and automatic deployment of cloud gateway to the public cloud and private cloud has become a very important issue, it not only affects operating efficiency of each intermediate node, but also related to the efficiency of the whole cloud service.The main research content of this paper is the implementation of a full-function system of deploying VSR automatically based on VMware v Sphere platfom. This paper firstly lists the VMware v Sphere platform virtualization technology which is very popular, then introduces the automatic deployment mechanism of several domestic leading enterprises, so as to design a user can customize the configuration of router system deployment system.The VSR deployment system based on VMware v Sphere platform using the OVF(Open Virtualization Format) template protocol, by modifying the descriptor file in the OVF folder to generate new template. The deployment of the system turn configuration information entered by the user into mirror ISO(CD image file), and then VSR load the image file by CD driver. Finally, VSR initialize configuration by using the configuration file generated by parsing the environment extensible markup language(XML) file. The whole system is divided into four modules, the deployment task module, host management module, configuration management module and the module of management console.
