With the rapid development of the Chinese communication industry, communication systems become more and more complicated,and the communication equipments needed are more and more. The equipments type and quantity are large in the machine room,so the communication equipments must be kept in normal working. Once some of the equipments break down,it will not only have a bad influence on the stability and reliability of the communication system,but also have a bad influence on the veracity of the transmission and storage of the data.If the fault is very serious and we could not deal with it in time, it will damage the equipments and even lead to serious consequences. So,in order to make the communication working normally,we must tour and check the equipments in the machine room ever and again.But in this method,we need a large number of maintainers who posess good specific knowledge and the ability of fault handling according to the traditional monitor mode.The maintainers must tour the machine room and maintain the equipments regularly. The maintainers must deal with the equipments in real time when the equipments berak down.In addition,we must analyse the data,which brings about a lot of work to us.To solve the existed problems,a system based on browser of the power and environment monitoring of computer rooms is designed in this thesis.The system can achieve the function of monitoring and centralized control to the equipments of the power and environment. The system which the thesis proposed can monitor the condition and parameters of all kinds of equipments and have the function of expert diagnosis. Once the equipments monitored break down,it can notice the maintainers to solve by many kinds of alarm modes in time.Thus,machine room management advances the management informationization, intellengence and standardization, which can improve the standards of machine room management and increase safety of the equipments furtherly.The system provides a good human-machine interface with adopting the monitoring mode of Brower/Server.The network model uses three-tier network structure which includes data acquisition and process layer,local monitoring center and remote monitoring center.We can control and manage all the machine rooms through the IE browser. With the method,the romote monitoring center can achieve the the same functions as the local monitoring center. The system has a rich alarm function which can send alarm event by message,E-mail or phone. The system has a rich linkage strategy which can drive another event change when the event changes.Moreover,the system has a good scalability that we can add or delete some equipments according to the requirements of customers and need not design the system again.The functions had been developed and achieved the due goal by testing.
